Comments by walkers who stayed at YHA Bath in Bath on The Cotswold Way
We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2012 after finishing the CW. This YH is set in its own grounds and from the outside this italianate mansion looks the part. We prebooked a twin ensuite room. Our room was in the main building at the rear and was the size of a broom cupboard with bunk beds. The room was very drab, dusty and cold, it also smelt damp. A moulded plastic unit with a door served as the ensuite, the shower part of this unit was so small the shower curtain stuck to my legs so was difficult to shower let alone turn around. We didnt eat here so cannot comment on the meals. The pictures of the interior on this particular YH on the official YH site are very misleading. A little money spent on the interior could vastly improve this YH.

We had a twin room (lower and upper bunk) with en suite. Good choice on evening and breakfast menus and licenced bar. Half way up a long hill but easy to get to by bus from downtown - bus stop at bottom of drive. As on Uni route, buses run late back so can take in theatre (or night club if so inclined). Perfectly adequate budget accom and helpful staff.

Stayed there in January, 2005. It was warm and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were lockable cupboards in the room - (requiring your own padlock). Washing facilities were adequate and the food was OK. Generally speaking, good value for money - but I wouldn't have been happy to pay more.
Please note that the hostel is well over a mile (probably 2!) from the CW finishing point, up a rather steep hill. I treated myself to a taxi which cost 4.50, but it is on a bus route.
