Beautiful farmhouse in a fantastic setting, with great views. Very warm welcome from Karen, with big pot of tea in lovely sitting room and welcoming fire. Karen took us to and fetched us back from a great pub in the evening. Highly recommended accommodation and great value for money.

Without a shadow of doubt this was the best value stay on the whole of the Cleveland Way.Phoned Karen from the tearoom and she drove out to pick us up.In the evening she made a grand total of 4 single journeys to take us to the pub for an evening meal and then return us to the farm.We were the only ones staying there and had sole use of the shared bathroom and toilet facilities. The views from the farm were fabulous and we really enjoyed our stay. And all for a modest price of 22 per person. Thanks for a great stay Karen.

We had a great stay here. We were welcomed with a tray of tea in the sitting room with a roaring log fire.
Our room was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean with great views and we had sole use of the bathroom.
Both evening meal and breakfast were very good. We felt Karen had got the portions just right.
Having walked from Kildale to Percy Rigg (which seemed endless) we had a lift back to the village the next day.
Great value for money.

This is a beautiful farmhouse in magnificent settings. A quick phone call (phone box in Kildale) saw us getting a lift to the farmhouse. Very friendly and the house really is spotless. A lift to a local pub for evening meal was much appreciated, the food was lovely if a little pricey.
Would have appreciated a heartier breakfast but the lift back to the walk was very welcome. Good value for money.

Brilliant place set in open country commanding terrific views across the adjacent countryside, collected in Kildale by the landlady and made very welcome, large bedroom spotlessly clean. Use of lounge with roaring log fire was much appriciated, evening meal was excellent and concluded with home made apple and blackberry pie to die for, similar standard at breakfast, Percy Rigg was excellent and without question the best value B/B along my route. Would willingly recommend a stay here.

We were not too sure what to expect when we requested a vegetarian dinner and were asked over the phone if we ate chicken! However, needn't to have worried. Percy Rigg is a lovely farmhouse. The rooms are a good size and recently decorated with fantastic views back over Kildale.

If you do stay here, take note of the distance from the footpath. It's a long drag if you are adding it onto a day from Osmotherly. I could have kicked myself when we got to the farm and the owner opened the door and said 'Oh I thought you would have rung from the village!'. So for your own sanity be sure to mention it (we got dropped off at the station in Kildale the next day).
