This was a great place to stay. Our room was large and comfortable and although not ensuite we had the bathroom and toilet to ourselves. There was also a sitting room for us to use.
Breakfast was excellent. Kathleen was friendly and welcoming. We felt we left as friends.

An excellent place to stay with very warm hospitality and good value for money.I stayed there 2 September 2009.

Very nice comfy accommodation within farmhouse. Very appreciative of owner drying very wet clothes.

This was an excellent first night's stay for us. The room was spacious and although not en-suite, we had exclusive use of the bathroom including a bath. The hospitality was generous and welcoming and the breakfast excellent.

A great 'traditional' farm to stop over at. The enormity of the rooms was equalled by the size of the portions of food at dinner. Watch the sheep dog practising rounding up the sheep on the grass outside the lounge or examine the stuffed animals inside. All that and rounded off by a good nights sleep too. What else could you want?

A lovely traditional farm house. Extremely clean and spacious rooms, plus a guest lounge. I recommend Kathleens cooking - the roast beef dinner is to die for. A definite yes for this stopover.

Well this was excellent! A good start to some Yorkshire hospitality in private houses.

The farm is set in a fairly isolated spot, and I also had a good evening meal here - but for those in need of ales the local pub is only about half a rural mile away.

My large and comfortable room was delightful, and Mrs Hope most welcoming.

One word of advice - don't be tempted in the morning to take a shortcut with the route, in order to avoid a little main road walking at the Hambleton Inn - the rewards of taking the official 'Castern Dike' route are the most stunning view when you come out of the undergrowth to head either to the White Horse or Sutton Bank. Miss it at your peril!
